ARTVOICE Best of Buffalo 2013

"The votes are in and tallied," proclaims ARTVOICE announcing the nominees in its annual Best of Buffalo survey.  Results were based on 2,670 completed ballots and 92,041 responses in categories People & Places, Arts & Artists, Music, Nightlife, Local Eats and much, much more.

 

We're pleased to report that the Irish Classical Theatre Company received a nomination for Best Theatre Company, along with our friends at Buffalo United Artists, MusicalFare, Road Less Traveled and Torn Space.

Listen in on Jim Santella and Anthony Chase as they discuss "Being Behan" by Jim & Peter Sheridan on WBFO 88.7.  In it, Brendan Behan - Irish rebel, rabble-rouser, and playwright - must account for his dissoulute and drunken past, and the audience determines where he will spend all of eternity.   "Being Behan" is on stage at the Irish Classical Theatre Company through Sunday, April 14.

 

"This is a marvelous production," says Chase. "I admired the three performers ... was especially impressed by Peter Sheridan's direction," he continued.

ICTC's Andrews Theatre, 625 Main Street, Buffalo

A major construction project is underway in Buffalo's Theatre Distict.  It will bring back automobile traffic to Main Street and beautify the 600 Block.  For the convenience of ICTC patrons planning to attend the final two weeks of "Being Behan" (on stage through April 14), here are some handy tips to keep your visit hassle-free during this exciting time.
