With a mischievous smile that can morph into a smoldering scowl in carefully calculated increments, Anne Roaldi Boucher has long been a mainstay of Buffalo’s acting pool. She can bring depth and complexity to a cartoon character, and has actually done exactly that, for instance, when she appeared in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown at O’Connell & Company and snagged an Artie nomination for her efforts.

Many thanks to Anthony Chase for his enlightening interview in this week's ARTVOICE with Kate LoConti, star of ICTC's "After Miss Julie," which opens Friday.  "To play the coveted central role in their production of 'After Miss Julie,' the Irish Classical Theatre Company has enlisted the talents of Kate LoConti," he writes.  "The company is describing LoConti as a 'guest artist.'  She may be a guest to them, but even if she now lives in Chicago, LoConti's appearance in 'After Miss Julie' is really a return home."
